Lira is the currency of Turkey, no reason not to use it. I know there are a lot of German Tourists in Side. It is a poplar resort for them, Possibly why shops accept Euros. A bit like Hisaronu a British Resort where Sterling is accepted. It is against the law in Turkey to refuse to take Lira. So best to use it. If you have Euros you want to spend.
